Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
A different way to approach change
Sometimes we know exactly what we want to change, yet we find ourselves returning to the same thoughts, emotions, or patterns. These ways of responding often developed for good reasons, but over time they can become rigid and no longer serve us.
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) combines ketamine treatment with psychotherapy to create opportunities for greater psychological flexibility. This can make it easier to explore difficult experiences, consider new perspectives, and engage in therapeutic work that may have previously felt out of reach.
Ketamine is not the therapy itself. Rather, it can create conditions in which therapy becomes more effective. Lasting change comes through the therapeutic process: preparing thoughtfully, making sense of the experience, and integrating new insights into everyday life.
Who may benefit?
KAP may be appropriate for people experiencing:
Depression
Anxiety
Trauma and PTSD
Relationship difficulties
Persistent patterns that have not responded fully to traditional therapy
A desire to deepen self-understanding and emotional flexibility
The decision to pursue KAP is individualized and made collaboratively after a thorough assessment.
